Atlantis 16 cc

"I did a huge amount of research before committing to buying my first boat and I lucked out when I came across Atlantis Marine Ltd. After my very first conversation with Patrick I knew that I was in safe hands, and I felt I was dealing with a friend rather than a business. Patrick's communication and customer service throughout the whole build was second to none and the knowledge I gained was fantastic.
Receiving my Atlantis 16 my expectation where blown away I couldn't have been happier. Looking forward to a great summer of boating,
Thanks Again Patrick for all your help and advice.'' Stewart Roberts form The Gower

I am now the proud owner of an Atlantis 16cc. This boat is clean easy to access the bow and stern and is ideal for carrying your dive, fishing gear. If like me you want a capable boat to get you somewhere, but don’t want some huge monster, this boat is for you. The handling is superb and that is across a range of conditions, it is like driving a 4x4. When you drive this boat you do not feel like you are in a 16ft boat, you feel as though you are in something much larger.
Dealing with Atlantis marine was a pleasure. Patrick gets to know you and your requirements and will give you the best advice he can. We had full engagement and updates throughout the process.
I have not got anything negative to say about the customer service or the boat. My partner and I are to have this boat for years to come and will enjoy every minute of it.
Thank You Patrick, once again

Hi Patrick,
What can I say .... awesome! Managed to get out a couple of days ago and the boat handled like a dream. It's very smooth compared to the Raider and cuts through chop with ease. It's pretty bloom in' quick as well! Launch and recovery was dead easy, helps being in a middle steering position when lining up so all in all, I'm absolutely over the moon. Again, many thanks for all your help and many thanks for creating such a great boat.
Best regards,
Simon

Dear Patrick
Thank you very much for all your help. The process has been so straightforward and efficient it has been a pleasure. Dealing with others in the marine industry on a daily basis your level of service and attention has been refreshing. We can't wait to get out in the boat and I'm sure she will give us many years of fun. Thanks for all your help if you ever want anyone to provide a reference as to your service I'd be happy to.

Dear Patrick
I would like to thank you for the experience I have had dealing with you and with the Atlantis 20 which I purchased in June. As you know I have owned and operated various commercial fishing vessels in the US Pacific including a 58 foot
Hatteras, a 38 foot Luhrs and a 27 foot Farallon. Each vessel was specifically designed for a particular purpose and did it superbly.
Your Atlantis 20 caught my eye and I was impressed when I read how highly rated it was. I did a brief sea trial with you in Guernsey in moderate seas and was pleased with the performance. I have now owned the boat for a month and have taken it out in all weathers in the Bristol Channel including the recent summer storms. She has a very sound hull design which produces an impressively dry ride even in lumpy seas. The clever engine platform improves the performance and leaves a nice uncluttered fishing area. The deep gunnels are a big improvement on the industry standard.
I wanted a boat that is easy to launch, gets to the fishing grounds quickly, and gets back even in deteriorating weather, safely. This boat punches well above its weight. On Monday I took a friend of mine from South Africa out for a couple of hours in waves that were 4-6 feet corrugated very closely together on 6 foot swells. The South African
said it handled like a 28 to 30 foot vessel. On the return leg with the weather following us we opened up and surfed back at 32 knots. We were both impressed by the smoothness of the ride and the tracking. I recommend this boat to
people who want a no nonsense "function is purpose" boat.
I would further recommend the service of your company which has helped throughout the project and continues to help. It is nice to do business with a company which still makes boats in the British Isles.

Dear Patrick
I promised to drop a line now that I've had a season with my new Atlantis. It's been long in coming simply because I knew I would find it difficult to express adequately the real sense of satisfaction that we have obtained from the boat - not to mention the flattering comments that others have made of it. As you know, we were looking for what we had constructed in our minds as a perfect family Donegal boat.
We wanted a boat that would cope with the lumpy and generally challenging waters that you get off a more northerly and exposed Atlantic coast - from swell, chop and back wash from shore break (often running in different directions!). We wanted a day boat that would provide fast passage to islands and inaccessible beaches with the peace of mind that it could cope with conditions if they unexpectedly worsened whilst we were out. We wanted a boat that would make us parents feel safe onshore when our children took to the sea when visiting with their university friends.
We wanted a boat with unobstructed and snag free working space to lay and take in bait nets and pots - and that would be manageable when drift fishing. We wanted a boat that would comfortably lift and tow a skier on mono. We wanted a boat that gran and grandpa could get on and off - even onto a beach - that didn't bump and bash their aching joints or catapult the dogs into the sea. We wanted a boat that we could use to recover large drift timber (trees!) to the house for winter fuel.
We wanted it to be reasonably economical on fuel and we didn't want to pay the earth. We were looking for a boater's boat - one that did the job - not a seductive accessory. Not a lot to ask! But Atlantis delivered in every way. We have had family boats of various sizes for nearly 20 years and in our little community of boating folk have owned, tried, seen, gone on trips with many different types of craft (mainly in the 'fast fisher' category) from 16-20 ft. The Atlantis simply took us onto a different boating plane.
One gets a feeling of great solidity and security at the helm even in pretty unpleasant sea conditions (relative to the
boat size of course!) and the boat never seemed to lose its responsiveness in the turn - nor its grip. It remained well
mannered and predictable whatever the conditions we encountered. With the 180 litre tank filled it took on the swell most impressively and I would certainly recommend that option to anyone who wanted to be able to use the boat in rougher water. The 140hp outboard gave us all the power we wanted for skiing and transiting with a full load together with effortless and quiet lower load cruising at 23-24 knots at 4,500 rpm. I think we managed to get 32 knots but
that wasn't in flat conditions - there weren't any!
My son, a student (with a powerboat cert), put the boat through its paces and remained absolutely confident, in control and dry! Throughout his sessions the boat only once, and then only momentarily bow raised, lost its poise. The design of the hull is masterful and whilst it is possible in any boat, in any conditions, to get an uncomfortable ride the Atlantis
surpassed even our most optimistic expectations regarding ride comfort.
Thanks Patrick. You just wouldn't believe the pleasure your boat has given us all. Many congratulations on what for us, both functionally and in terms of seaworthiness, has proved to be a superb design.

PS. You're right. The hull is strong. Believe me - it got a very stern test!
